When putting the first one in without the wrist pin installed, it is best to put it open end facing up, then push the open end 180 degrees opposite of the relief hole. However, the instructions that came with my WSM pistons say that the circlips should face up. My feeling is that I should install them facing up since that's what the piston manufacturer says, right?
